Field guide
Questions worth asking before the wax cools.
Our answers are practical by design, so you can choose materials and build a calm, repeatable process.
What is the easiest stamp for a first project?
A simple round design with a clear border is easiest to read while you learn how much wax and pressure your paper needs.
How much wax should I use?
Begin with a small pool roughly the size of a coin, then adjust according to the stamp diameter and the surface of your envelope.
How long should the stamp rest?
Let the stamp sit until the wax feels firm around the edges, usually around 30 to 60 seconds depending on room temperature.
Can I use the stamps on folded paper?
Yes, but place the seal where the paper is supported and test first, since thin folds can flex while the wax is setting.
How do I clean a brass stamp?
Allow residue to cool slightly, lift it gently, and finish with a soft lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and sharp tools.
What are Fallows?
Fallows is your saved collection. Select Save in the catalog, and the product ID is kept in your browser so you can revisit it later.
Does the cart require an account?
No. Cart and quantity information are stored locally in your browser for this static experience.
Which paper works well with wax seals?
Medium-weight, textured, and cotton papers generally provide a stable surface. Always test delicate or coated stock before sending finished work.
Can I ask for help choosing a palette?
Yes. Share your paper color, occasion, and preferred mood through our contact form, and the studio can suggest a considered starting point.
